Secret Treasure Hidden in the Rocky Mountains
This is not a new story, but it is interesting and I thought I would showcase it here.
I heard about this a couple years ago and it sparked my interest so I did some research.
Apparently, an old and somewhat famous author and art dealer hid a treasure chest filled with gold and jewels worth over $1 million in the Rocky Mountains north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Now, if you are feeling skeptical about this story actually being true, let me share a few details, because I thought the same thing.
First of all, the gentleman’s name is Forrest Fenn.
He has written a few books and is very wealthy.
$1 million is probably not much money to him.
You can find out about him online.
There is an enormous amount of information about him now.
He claims that he did it to get people to go outside and enjoy nature as they look for the treasure.
He wrote 2 books about the treasure which have been big sellers and I was thinking that the treasure was the cost in order to sell books and make a killing, but I also found out that the proceeds from the 2 books are donated to charity.
In one of the books, “The Thrill of the Chase”, Fenn writes a poem which he says is the key to finding the treasure.
As I have gone alone in there
and with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.
Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.
From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.
If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.
So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak.
So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.
I don’t know if the treasure is real.
I do know that hundreds of people have gone into the wilderness to look for it.
Some have spent huge amounts of money and time trying to find it and a few have overextended themselves and nearly lost their lives.
I think that I would enjoy searching the Rocky Mountains for it myself as a small side hobby.
So, why did I put this here?
You could easily build a business in 1-2 years online that brought in way more money than what is in that chest that if ever found, will only be found by one person or group working together who then have to split it.
Many people who claim they want to be rich, don’t want to put the effort into making it happen.
It’s not going to fall into your lap and rarely ever does.
There is no real get-rich-quick even though in today’s world with the internet being what it is, it is quicker than ever to build wealth and create an amazing lifestyle.
If you want to go searching for a treasure that nobody has found yet, go for it.
It actually sounds like a fun time.
However, if you want to build something that will eventually pay you so much more after putting some work and consistency into it, check out my #1 recommendation.
It has worked for everyone who has done it and not given up.
Thank you for reading.
