Do you have weaknesses or things about yourself that are different from others and you hate them?
I’m going to talk about that here in a second, however if you just want to see my number one recommendation to make money working part-time from your home computer, click the link below:

It’s the same program I used to quit my full time job and start living the life of my dreams.
Okay, back to the article:
Let me give you some examples of other people who had weaknesses or abnormalities as well.
Michael Phelps is a physical freak of nature.
His body is very disproportionate.
His arm span is three inches longer than it should be based on his height.
His torso is that of a taller man and his legs are short.
He has double jointed ankles and elbows.
All these things give him an advantage over other swimmers and while I believe his drive is what makes him win so many gold medals, his differences and abnormalities definitely help.
Thomas Edison was a poor student at school.
His teachers said he had a wavering mind and poor focus.
He also struggled with speech and words for most of his youth.
I don’t know his name, but there was a ten year-old boy that lost an arm and learned judo.
He only learned one move and mastered it.
He became the judo champion because the only counter move to his judo throw required the opponent to grab his left arm which was missing.
Bruce Willis had a severe stutter for 20 years of his life.
Richard Branson is dyslexic.
Helen Keller was blind and deaf.
So, if you’re thinking, “well, I’m not a freak exactly so what can I do?”
You’re missing the point.

What made these people able to overcome and be so successful with such horrible debilitations?
The only answer is how they viewed it.
If you don’t have a can opener, how do you open a can?
That depends right?
I personally would go out to eat because that way is faster and easier.
Maybe I would buy a can opener on the way home for next time.
Let’s pretend that a can opener has never been invented and a can is sitting in front of you with delicious food and you are starving with no other options.
You will find a way inside that can.
Maybe you invent a can opener.
Maybe you smash it on a rock and make a big mess.
The point is that you become resourceful and figure it out.
First and foremost, these people had a need to survive and knew it didn’t matter that they had disadvantages.
Second, they viewed the world differently because it was a different experience for them.
Imagine not having sight or hearing and how that changes every experience you have.
You would perceive everything differently than you do now.
It could be good or bad depending on how you see it.
Third, and this is the most important key I think, is that they used their disadvantage to become their advantage,
They either spent so much time working on fixing their obstacle, that it became their greatest strength, or they found a way to make it a strength by nature.
I’m a firm believer that applying your greatest strengths is the way to success, not spending your time making weaknesses less troubling.
However, what if your “weakness” is actually your strength?
It doesn’t really matter what society and other people have told you about your abilities and disabilities.
If they don’t have the life you want, they aren’t worth listening to anyway.
What if that physical or mental obstacle is the way you overcome everything else?
Think about it.
Thank you for reading.
