There was a time in my life where I was just drifting along and literally felt that I had no passion or inspiration.
I was just working for the weekend, hating my job, and often I would wonder what was the point of my existence.
In fact, if it wasn’t for my daughter, I think I would have turned down a pretty dark road.
I would see people that were seemingly happy following their dreams, enjoying an amazing lifestyle, or working on a business they loved and I would wonder what was wrong with me.
Maybe you feel the same way or are currently on that dark road now.
I would hear people tell me to “find my passion” or “solve a problem that needs fixing”.
I just felt unmotivated and honestly baffled by what I was supposed to do with my life.
I was working too hard to feel the way that I did and not experience the elusive “success” I heard being touted in books and seminars.
I had even tried a couple different home-based businesses and soon burned out from the rejection or difficulty of the system.
I couldn’t determine if I was just unlucky, or not smart enough, or just not made for success.
The problem with people talking about success today is that they are merely pointing at a result they think we want and telling us to go for it.
The reason it eluded me for so long was something that I had the ability to change.
There were actually two things:
- I didn’t know what I wanted.
2. I had no vision.
Now if you’re already turned off here, just stay with me a second because this was a complete game-changer for me and it may not be what you think.

If I ask ten random people what they want out of life, they will most likely give me one of three answers:
- I don’t know.
- They will tell me what they don’t want.
- They will give me an answer of something so small that it doesn’t move them to action.
I can tell you right now, if this is you, then it is obvious why you are unhappy.
If you are not working toward something, then you are drifting and dying.
The brain literally decays when it is not learning and taking in new information.
You can see it in plants more easily.
They are either growing or dying.
I will be honest here.
When I first got started online, I just wanted to make a bunch of money, but what moved me to action was what I wanted to do with that money.
I could picture myself traveling with my wife and family, eating good food, and having amazing adventures.
It became a vision for me that I could go back to again and again to draw from and remain inspired.
That’s what moved me to action and by going that direction, it started coming true for me.
It wasn’t overnight and it was hard at times, but the best part of it being hard is that it made me stronger and more able handle bigger challenges.
I’m still moving toward what I want, but now it has expanded beyond money to fulfillment and legacy.
I want to set up programs that help children be more confident and self-aware so that they can steer clear of addictions and compulsive behavior as they grow up.
I’m not even close to completing that right now, but I will continue to move that direction until it happens because I am inspired by the positive impact and the lives I can change.
This all began because I got clear on what I really wanted.
Spend some time getting real about it.
If you have trouble getting ideas, then ask a 6 year-old what he or she wants.
Maybe that child hasn’t believed all the liars yet saying that it can’t be done and is still clear on it.
You have everything you need already inside you to make it happen.
Every human being has an enormous amount of genius and creativity, that lies dormant in most of us waiting to be pulled out.
Get clear and start moving.
There are people that truly need what you have to offer.
