This post is about getting started building an online course that can help hundreds or thousands of people and make you massive profits.
Before I get into that, if you are just looking to make money online and either are a beginner and don’t know where to start, don’t have a product, or have just been bombarded with scams and shady propositions, see my #1 Recommendation to Make Money Online.
It is the same program I used to start making an income online with no previous experience and was eventually able to quit my full-time job working part-time from home on my laptop.
I have seen also seen it work for several others.

Now, if you are interested in building the online course, let’s get started.
You could literally have the entire thing put together, up for sale, and making money in a weekend.
First and foremost, you need to understand a few things.
First of all, what is your course going to be teaching?
This question carries more weight than most people think.
There are many online courses that don’t sell much at all and many courses that would sell if they were created and marketed effectively.
The biggest factor to keep in mind is that your course is a transformation for your clients.
They are in a situation that they want to change and your course is the roadmap to get them to the outcome they desire.
Inherently, there needs to be enough people that are in that situation looking for the outcome.
An example:
Let’s say I am 20 lbs overweight and I just want to know how to slim down without buying an expensive meal program or spend hours at the gym (It would be safe to say that potentially millions of people are having the same problem).
If you had a simple course that had the knowledge I needed to lose the 20 lbs, then I would probably buy it, if I thought the price was reasonable (what everyone thinks is reasonable is different).

If you are not sure how to connect with people who might want your product, then there are a couple good ways to find out.
First, go to Facebook groups or Internet forums that are in that niche and see what people are saying.
They will tell you right there what their struggles and pains are.
You can figure out everything that you need by going to where your customers hang out.
This is a good place to learn the language and lingo they use as well, so that you can really talk to them and sound like an insider.
After that, you need to put together some kind of syllabus that has the lessons and points you want to get across to your audience.
Once you have the framework, then you can begin putting the course together.
This part seems the hardest, but is actually the easiest.
I have a link here to a video that explains how to build a course on Clickfunnels.
There are other platforms you could use, however, I personally feel that this is the easiest way to build your first course and get it up without getting bogged down in tech issues and never getting done.
It’s not me in the video, but Clark Kegley does a great job at explaining it quickly.
Now, if you watched the video and want to get started using Clickfunnels, here’s a link that gets you a 14 day free trial:
This is going to take longer than the 30 minutes that Clark mentions in the video, but maybe now you can see that it really isn’t that difficult to put together a great looking online course even if you haven’t ever done one before.
I have found that whenever I have put off doing something that I had an idea in my head that it was going to be much more difficult than it actually was when I sat down and did the work.
I also find that people are much smarter than they give themselves credit for.
If you are determined to sit down and build an online course, you will figure out the details and get it done.
The only things stopping you are your own mental limitations you have created which are most likely lies intended to keep things comfortable and easy.
What I do want to say here is that the value of your course is based on how much it can help your customer transform to the desired end result.
Build your course to be the most value and service to them.
That will make them lifelong customers.
If you focus on just getting paid instead of value, then the money will ALWAYS elude you.
Ok, so once your amazing course is created, then how to you get people to see it so they can buy?
I don’t have the space and time on this post for that and there are several options for marketing your new product.
You can read some of my other posts and get some ideas.
However, if you really want to learn a system that will make you a marketing genius so that you could literally sell any product or service in any niche and industry (including your online course), then see my #1 Recommendation.

P.S.
If you build a course, I would love to hear about it and possibly showcase it on this site so that people can see that this works and also get you free traffic and more potential buyers to your offer.
