If you ever looked at making money online, at some point you ran into affiliate marketing.
You probably know someone who is doing it and the question asked often is,
“How can anyone make any money if everyone is doing it?”
This matter needs a little context if we’re going to be honest about it.
The cost to start affiliate marketing is low.
That is extremely appealing and so thousands upon thousands of people have given it a shot.
So, it’s more competitive.
What happens when everyone is selling online?
It’s the same thing that happens in any marketplace.
If you’re selling the same thing as everyone else, you are lost in the noise and racing to sell at the cheapest price.
So, what you need to do is stand out.
This can be done in many different ways, and now I’m giving you some tips to break away from the pack and have some wins.
1. Get Clear On Your Niche:
This is so important to do in the beginning.
What most new marketers miss here is that it’s not just what business you want to be in like weight loss or finance.
It’s about the people you want to help.
Who is it that you most want to serve?
If they are underserved and are looking for solutions that you have, then you have a massive edge.
Focus on one specific area and become an expert in that.
Don’t try to sell that same audience everything.
Just talk about and give them the products that solve that specific problem for that specific audience.
The more clear and specific you are about who you serve is going to help you save time and money later.
Don’t worry about the niche being too small.
.1 percent of the population is still 8 million people.
That’s plenty of people to build a massive business.
2. Provide Endless Value:
Give people helpful information and useful recommendations.
You don’t need to be an expert to give value.
You just need to know more than the person you are helping.
Offer bonuses or discounts to make it more appealing.
Don’t overthink this part.
3. Be Transparent:
It’s ok to be offering products that solve people’s problems.
They are going to buy things that help them out, so don’t shy away from what you are doing.
Be honest about using affiliate links.
Let people know from the start that you’re using them to support your business.
4. Only Promote Good Products You Have Used:
It only takes one bad product to ruin your reputation.
Don’t sell them garbage and don’t sell something you haven’t used (it might be garbage).
People trust your opinion more if you have personal experience.
Also, showing people how to use something is a great way to market it.
5. Build an Email List:
This is the lifeblood of your business and IS your greatest asset.
Collect emails from your audience to stay in touch and promote new products.
Make sure you promote different companies to spread out risk.
Be your own brand and person.
Don’t just be the salesperson for one company in case that company doesn’t make it.
6. Learn To Use Paid Traffic:
Paid ads can help you reach more people and target specific groups.
There are dozens of different ways to promote a business or product.
Find out where your specific audience likes to hang out online and sell to them there.
7. Track Your Results:
Keep track of the number of visitors, clicks on your links, and conversion rates.
It helps you improve your strategies.
You don’t even know what’s working if you aren’t tracking.
Use site analytics or pay for some tracking software.
I use ClickMagick and I love it.
It’s inexpensive and easy to use.

8. Reuse Your Content:
Repurpose your content into different formats like videos, infographics, eBooks, or podcasts to get the most out of it.
Post it on every site you use.
You can do one piece of work and get multiple uses out of it.
This helps save time and energy.
9. Treat Affiliate Marketing as a Business:
Treat affiliate marketing seriously.
It takes time, effort, and dedication to succeed.
It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme which nobody wants, but everybody wants.
If you are not able to commit and see it through even when it’s hard, then it’s probably not going to work out for you.
This could the business that sets you free and changes your life and the lives of your family and future generations.
It will give back to you, what you put in, but there’s a delay in between so be patient and consistent.
