Have you heard of Kyani?
This company produces nutritional and skin care products with a business opportunity for people to sell it directly.
Is it a scam?
I’m going to review it here, but first, if you are tired of online scams and bogus “make money online” opportunities then see my #1 Recommendation to Make Money Online.

The skills I learned in this program are what I used to create an income online working part time from my laptop.
I was able to quit my full-time job in a few short months and live life on my own schedule and terms and I have seen countless others do the same.
Now back to Kyani:
If you are familiar with the Alaskan Tlingit language (honestly, who isn’t?), Kyani means “strong medicine”.
The reason for the Alaskan reference is that some of their original products are made from Alaskan Blueberries and salmon.
Alaskan blueberries are purported to have 5 times the antioxidants of regular blueberries.
I don’t know if that’s true, but I lived there as a kid, and Alaskan salmon and blueberries are definitely delicious and healthy.
I’m not going to review the products personally, because I haven’t tried them and that is not the scope of this blog.
I have read mixed reviews online on the products, and from what I can tell, they are high quality.
Kyani is a network marketing or multi-level marketing (MLM) company.
Some have called it a pyramid scheme which is actually inaccurate because there are products being sold as part of the compensation plan.
The members are being paid commissions from the product sales.
If you are unfamiliar with how network marketing companies work, then see my review for Ariix.
I will just say that you promote the products and business opportunity in order to recruit and build a team that does the same.
As it grows, there are more sales being made by default and the person who recruited them gets a larger commission check.

The compensation plan for Kyani will obviously differ from Ariix.
Here’s how it works:
First, you will pay a fee to get signed up.
Kyani has different starting packages, but a starter pack with products, membership, and web tools is about $300.
There are larger packs with more products and higher commissions up to $999 to start.
This is a low cost of entry to be able to start and run your own business that could potentially make six figures annually in a short amount of time.
Now, I would like to make a couple clarifications about Kyani and these types of opportunities in general.
First, you are required to buy products every month in order to keep earning commissions.
I would recommend you find a company that makes a product you like, or better yet, that you love!
You are going to be buying the product and using it so that you can recommend it to others.
Even though, you technically don’t need to use the products to make money, it’s hard to promote something you don’t believe in.
I feel that people are smart enough to see through that.

Second, when you look at numbers for any network marketing company you are going to see that most people make nothing or almost nothing.
Everyone wants to point the finger at the company when this happens and that may not be necessarily deserved.
Most people don’t put the work in to get the result.
If it says, that 2-3% are actually making money, I would be willing to bet that the same percentage of members are actually putting in the necessary time and effort to recruit people for their team and sell the product.
This is true for anything.
If you want to create or build something that is financially successful, you have to put in work and learn the skills that push the business forward.
There is no get-rich-quick or magic bullet.
That being said, if you are interested in Kyani’s products and/or opportunity, I believe it is legitimate.
